Anna Vuopala is a Senior Ministerial Adviser and vice Head of Unit in the Art and Cultural Policy Department of the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland.

Ms. Vuopala has a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki and she has trained on the bench at the District Court of Raasepori in 2000. She worked for the EU Commission A2K unit in 2009-2010 as national expert. She has nearly 25 years of experience in developing and amending national, EU and international IP legislation, in particular copyright law, including the EU CDSM directive and the “Big 5 Data” legislations. She works for an effective and balanced IP system using new technologies in particular, interoperable and trustworthy copyright data. Since 2018 she has provided a level playing field by granting funding the creative sectors in their uptake of new technologies. She has promoted the copyright infrastructure development on EU level since 2019 and since 2022 she leads the AI & copyright use cases and awareness raising activities of the Copyright Infrastructure Task Force together with Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The network aiming for full coverage of the EU consists now of 17 European countries. The CITF promotes the development of an open data rights framework (ORDF) for new technologies as recommended by the EU Commission Study on Copyright and New Technologies in 2022. She promotes the new EUIPO Copyright Knowledge Center and other new services supporting creative sectors in relation to AI & copyright under SP2030.

She also works closely with the World Intellectual property organization WIPO in multiple different contexts, including the IP Academy, Frontier Technologies and AI Conversations. She works also to improve inclusiveness of the IP system. Currently she is chair and co-chair of the WIPO IGC Committee that undertake negotiations relating to Intellectual property and traditional knowledge and traditional cultural expressions of Indigenous Peoples and local communities.

Wang Qian is a professor of law and the Vice Chairman of the Academic Committee in East China University of Political Science and Law. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the China Copyright Association.

He received his LL.M from the University of Toronto in Canada and his Ph.D. from Peking University. He published the book Study on Exclusive Rights of Copyright in the Network Environment, Protection and Regulation of Technological Measures in the Copyright Law, and Copyright Protection on the Internet. His textbook Intellectual Property Law Course (1-8 editions) is one of the most popular IP textbooks in China.

Mr. Wang acts as a consulting expert for many courts and procuratorates, including the Beijing Higher People’s Court, Shanghai People’s Procuratorate and Shanghai Intellectual Property Court. He participated in the drafting of the Regulations on the Protection of Information Network Transmission Rights and is a member of the Expert Committee for the third revision of the Copyright Law. He was honored as one of the Top Ten Outstanding Young Jurists in the Ninth National Awards.

Birgit Clark is a Legal Counsel, Music and Aggregated Licensing, at Google in the UK. She is a dual qualified lawyer (UK/Germany) and also qualified as a Chartered UK Trade Mark Attorney (non-practicing).

Prior to joining Google, Birgit worked as an intellectual property lawyer in private practice. She is an extensively published legal author and former IP law blogger.

Dora Susan Makwinja is a holder of Master’s Degrees in Business Administration from UNICAF University and Intellectual Property Law, Commerce and Technology from the Franklin Pierce Law Centre, United States of America. Before that, she graduated from the University of Malawi with Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree (Computer and Statistics).

She briefly worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Lilongwe before joining the Copyright Society of Malawi (COSOMA which is both a Copyright Office for Malawi and a Collective Management Organization). She has worked for the organization since October 1997 to date and holds the position of Copyright Administrator and Executive Director. She has attended a good number of courses in Intellectual Property organized by WIPO and other international organizations mainly in the field of Copyright and Related Rights.

She has also been engaged as a WIPO expert on Copyright and Related Rights and Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights. She has also been a tutor for the distance learning WIPO programs on Copyright and Related Rights as well as Collective Management. She has contributed to the development of National Intellectual Property Policies for Botswana, Nigeria, Zanzibar and presently Kenya. Ms Makwinja has been Board Director and First Vice President of the International Federation of Reprographic Rights Organization (IFRRO) Board whose headquarters is in Brussels, as well as Chairperson of the African Committee of IFRRO. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the African Committee of International Confederation of Societies of Composers and Authors (CISAC).

Il est devenu connu pour son utilisation habile des miroirs dans ses compositions, créant des images qui vont au-delà de la simple représentation visuelle pour capturer des émotions et des narrations complexes. La symbiose entre Paris et Buenos Aires a été une source constante d’inspiration. Il explore également la photo en studio où les photos deviennent une exploration intime de sa propre identité, ouvrant une fenêtre sur la complexité de la condition humaine.

Ses oeuvres ont été exposées dans des galeries à Paris et Buenos Aires, recevant des éloges pour leur originalité et leur capacité à transcender les frontières culturelles. Il a également participé à plusieurs expositions collectives à Paris. Matthieu Baudeau ne se contente pas de capturer des moments figés, il cherche à créer des histoires visuelles qui invitent les spectateurs à explorer les liens invisibles entre les personnes, les lieux et les émotions. A digital music pioneer and tech enthusiast, Nauman worked on licensing and product for one of the first legal digital services MusicNet (RealNetworks JV), led strategic partnerships for connected device company Sonos, started and ran the US business for global music platform 7digital, and did early digital music business in China as a consultant. She built one of the first DMCA-compliant services at taste-making Seattle station KEXP and has an MBA through the London School of Economics, NYU-Stern, and HEC-Paris, in the executive program TRIUM.

She is an advisor and subject matter expert to some of the world’s most innovative companies, including those in gaming, M&A, platforms, apps, rights-related, strategic growth, and early-stage startups in music/tech. As Chief Information Officer, Matt oversees the technology and data platforms used across peermusic’s global network of music publishing and neighbouring rights companies operating from 38 offices in 31 countries.

Matt also chairs the ICMP's Metadata Expert Group, is a member of the steering committee for the Society-Publisher Forum, which develops and promotes best practices and standards for exchanges between publishers and societies, and is a member of the UK Intellectual Property Office's Technical Solutions Group, which is working to improve the delivery of metadata to digital music services.

Before joining peermusic, Matt was Chief Data Officer at UK neighbouring rights CMO PPL, where he led PPL’s involvement in various global industry data initiatives and partnerships. Matt also served on the board of Digital Data Exchange (DDEX), the consortium of organisations driving music data standards, and contributed to the creation of new data standards for the neighbouring rights sector. Prior to that, Matt worked at Deloitte Consulting in the UK and in the US, delivering major technology and data programmes for a variety of clients across the music and entertainment industries.
